Part of the bias in reporting the news does not come from the way of reporting, but the choice on what to report. We propose to develop an alternative news outlet here, to collect and share different local stories in Glasgow.

Positive stories too rarely shared, stories revealing specific struggles, or on the contrary incredible “normality” (reg. struggles, ambitions, dreams, etc) – the objective is to offer a different voice.

BaRE is a shortened name derived from our motto Battle for Racial Equality.

We are a group of volunteers of various backgrounds: charity volunteers, students, professionals, artists, British, asylum seekers, refugees, EU nationals…  willing to engage in the cultural battle for racial equality.
